Custom Lanyards

Lanyard quality shows itself in the first 30 seconds of wearing one. Thin scratchy flat polyester irritates the neck within a shift; quality tubular or woven lanyards are invisible after the first minute. For multi-day conferences and staff uniforms, invest in 15–20mm tubular or dye-sublimated polyester at $3–6 branded — the cost delta over cheap flat lanyards is trivial compared to the comfort impact.

Printing method drives colour fidelity. Screen print handles 1–4 spot colours on flat polyester at the lowest per-unit cost. Dye-sublimation prints full-colour photographic designs and logos with gradients — essential for complex event branding. Woven lanyards (where text is woven into the fabric rather than printed) are the premium choice for heritage brands and executive events.

Attachment hardware matters. Metal bulldog clips with swivel are the event standard. Plastic J-hooks fail within weeks. For security-conscious environments (hospitals, airports) specify safety breakaway buckles. RPET recycled-polyester options are now price-comparable to virgin polyester with a verifiable recycled-content story — the easy default for ESG-aligned brands.

Lead times: 2–3 weeks stocked with screen print, 4–6 weeks dye-sublimation, 6–10 weeks custom-woven. For fast events, screen-printed lanyards have 5–10 day expedite options.
