The Brief

A storied independent school asked for two pieces that would sit alongside the institution's name without diminishing it. A heritage-pattern zip pouch in the school's house colours and a hard-enamel keychain and bag-tag combination — both engineered for student-pocket reality, not display-case staging. Issued at the open day, still in circulation years later.

The Approach

Our approach drew on three decades of branded merchandise production. With the brand creative supplied by Cranbrook School (or their agency), we specified the substrate to match the brand's tactile signature — heritage · school identity · wearable — then matched the decoration technique to the substrate (not the other way around, which is where most school branded merchandise programmes go wrong). Print colours were proofed to the brand's reference palette. Packaging was specified in parallel with the product itself, because in the education category the unboxing IS the brand encounter.
