There's a particular pleasure in handing someone a flat sheet and watching them realise, slowly, that the kangaroo is hiding inside it. The pieces click out, fit together without glue or tools, and a small wooden creature appears on the desk. It tends to stay there.
Laser-cut from a single A4 sheet of basswood — a pale, lightweight timber favoured by model makers for its clean grain — the kangaroo arrives in a printed cardboard sleeve with assembly instructions tucked inside. Your brand sits on the sleeve in full colour digital print, the first thing the recipient sees before the puzzle begins. The kit is entirely plastic-free, meets parts 1, 2 and 3 of the AS/NZS ISO 8124 toy safety standard, and is recommended for ages eight and up, though we've watched plenty of adults clear a Monday afternoon for one.
Assembled, the kangaroo stands 121mm tall and 195mm long. It works beautifully as an inbound delegate gift for international visitors, a conference table favour, or the kind of corporate present that gets photographed before it gets unwrapped.
