Start with the end of the product's life, not the beginning — that's the part we enjoy most about an eco brief. If the item is for a one-day event (conference, launch, activation), lean into truly compostable formats: seeded paper, PLA cornstarch, wheat straw, unlaminated FSC kraft. These finish beautifully in a home compost and the messaging lands because the claim is real. If the item is for daily life (staff kits, retail gift-with-purchase, client gifting), organic is the stronger story than biodegradable. GOTS-certified cotton, hemp and bamboo textiles last years in rotation, which is its own sustainability argument — the most sustainable product is the one that doesn't need replacing. Pair organic textile with water-based or discharge inks so the print doesn't sit on top like plastic. Branding method matters more here than in conventional ranges. Water-based screen print on organic cotton reads softer and washes better than plastisol. Laser engraving on bamboo and cork gives a permanent tone-on-tone finish with no ink at all.
